Les Jardins d'Annevoie

Located between Namur and Dinant you can find Belgium's Versailles. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but these gardens are very pretty. The gardens are a mix of French, English and Italian styles and contain numerous ponds, fountains and sculptures. The water that circulates through the ponds and fountains comes from a canal and runs through a complex network of inter-connecting underground channels. The design allows the water to flow constantly by its own momentum. According to something I read, the water has been flowing non-stop since 1776, when the gardens were finshed. It's pretty cool to see. There are also flower gardens spread throughout as well as a raspberry orchard. Since raspberries were in season when we visited, we were able to pick and eat as many as we wanted. And they were delicious!
